WIPs of my cross stitching this week.

While I am still searching high and low for my mermaid project in 2015, my fingers are still very busy on my preorders and other ornament work. Okay, below are some WIPs either waiting to be complete or has already just completed. I can now no more produce more than 4 newly made ornaments each week. My Lanarte cross stitch is still half way done. ūüė¶ Will have to speed up abit the few following week. So here are the WIPs for some of my current projects.

This design is ‘Antique Elegance’.¬†I spent the whole afternoon working on this design. Too many beading work and so many vines¬†etc. on the design. I would say “Try Stitching This If You Dare!”. This will be a beauty when completed! I¬†can’t wait to get her done¬†on my raw Opalescent 32ct. Lugana.¬†Let’s wait patiently for now. It won’t be long. ūüôā

‘Home Is…’ ,¬†a beautiful design just completed stitching on Vintage country cream 32ct. Belfast Linen. Now waiting to turn this into an ornament hanger!

A cute little Pearl Angel just completed stitching on Periwinkle Opalescent 32ct Lugana. Face and hands stitched with 1 over 1 petite stitches. She is so cute! Also waiting to make her into a pretty ornament hanger.

See you again soon… Till I get all ornaments¬†completed¬†before this coming saturday!

Beautiful necklace backstitched with dmc gold metallic floss. Border stitched with blending floss from dmc 3768 and kreinik metallic blending filament. She is a gorgeous queen!

WIPs of Mirabilia “The Bliss Fairy”

The bliss fairy is one of the interesting fairy that I always wanted to cross stitch her into my ornament. However, I want her background to match with her hair ornament colors. So I decided to cross stitch her on my special hand-dyed linen instead.

As you can see, she was stitched on a misty ocean blue fabric. The hair ornament colors match well with the blue background color. Stitched with lots of mill hill seed beads and 9 pieces of blue acrylic crystal drops.

She is a cute little Bliss Fairy! Borders stitched with blending floss from dmc 931 and kreinik metallic blending filament.

Mirabilia Ornaments- Sabrina , Fairy Moon 10th Jan 2015

Two NEW Mirabilia Ornament hangers will be listed on coming Saturday.

First, I would like to share with you WIPs of Mirabilia Sabrina ornament hanger that I cross stitched and finished it into an ornament hanger. Well, Sabrina was a sweet little beauty in one of the Mirabilia ladies series. I had a difficult time drawing her into my small motif design for my ornament. I thought she could be fit nicely into my design border (the border that you usually see in most of my Mirabilia ornament hangers.) However, I was WRONG! When I added the border into the chart, it was not what I expected. Either Sabrina’s dress was out of the border, or part of her hands could not be seen in the small design. They came out not perfect. I had to change another design border on her.¬†Also, I had to cross stitched her on 30ct. wichelt linen instead. If I were to stitch her on a piece of 28ct. linen, the ornament hanger will be too big in size, which is not what I expected.¬†This is one of the designs with lots of¬†challenges! I want to see Sabrina¬†with full¬†details in my ornament, meaning her head, part of her dress and her hands must appear in the small design.

WIPs Of Sabrina

Sabrina took me 3 1/2 days to complete working on her. The design came out perfect on 30ct linen.

Other than Sabrina, I also stitched along Mirabilia ¬†Fairy Moon. This is one of the earliest design came from Mirabilia. I picked out a natural color fabric for the design instead. I have stitched this design in a dark blue fabric 6 years ago.¬†The background¬†look too dark on the fairy’s¬†dark brown hair, so this round I want the fairy background color to be in either natural or light sand color. I stitched her on natural 28ct. cashel linen. Stitched with lots and lots of mill hill seed beads on her brown color hair. Borders are stitched with blending floss from dmc 597 and kreinik blending filament.
